Today, Amazon announced an extension of Amazon Music, which is now virtually entirely accessible to Amazon Prime members. From the initial two million songs that were available, Amazon is now giving Amazon Prime subscribers access to the whole database of 100 million Amazon Music songs.

Although Amazon Prime members do not have unlimited access to music on demand, shuffle mode does provide access to the whole collection. It will be comparable to other services like Pandora that provide radio station-based content rather than on-demand access to all music in terms of the experience. Since Apple Music also offers on-demand music, Amazon Prime’s new feature won’t directly compete with it, but it may convince users who like radio stations and playlists to switch.

Amazon is not raising the price of Prime for customers to get access to Amazon Music; Prime remains at $14.99 per month or $139 per year.
