It is also a document-based application with a built-in text editor, image viewer, PDF viewer, and media player. Some file types of File Cabinet Pro can be opened for editing/viewing, including:
Text document:
Plain text file (txt)
Text format (rtf)
Rich text format directory (rtfd)
Markdown (md)
Portable document format (pdf)
Image file:
Portable network graphics (png) -File Cabinet Pro
Joint Photographic Experts Group (jpeg)
Tagged image file format (tiff, tif)
Bitmap image file (bmp)
Photoshop file format (psd) import only
Scalable vector graphics (svg) are imported only

With File Cabinet Pro, you can:
Create a subdirectory.
Click to enter the subdirectory and open the document.
Set the “Primary” and “Secondary” directory buttons in the bottom bar for an innovative drag-and-drop experience; drag files to these buttons in the bottom bar to bring up a pop-up window.
Easily mark files. Select the file in File Cabinet Pro, right-click, and then simply add or delete the file label in the control in the context menu.
Display the selected file in Finder.
Rename the file.
Copy and paste files.
Compressed files.
Junk files.
View items as icons, lists, or columns.
Start the application at login. You can automatically start File Cabinet Pro when logging in to a Mac (optional feature, disabled by default).
Create a list of all your favorite directories in the sidebar.
Create and edit txt, rtf and rtfd files using the built-in lightweight text editor.
Use the built-in lightweight image editor to rotate the image, crop the image, and apply filters to the image.
Use the built-in media player to watch videos and play audio files.
Use the built-in pdf viewer to view pdf files.
Restore document versions of supported editable document types.
Set the global hotkey display and close the File Cabinet Pro window (optional function, disabled by default).
Preview the selected file in Quicklook by pressing the space bar.
Share files in applications that support sharing extensions such as mail and mail.
Use File Cabinet Pro’s Document Creator Finder extension to create text documents from the Finder (Note: To use this feature, you must enable the Finder extension in “System Preferences” under the “Extensions” tab).
